The Jewish dance experience

“Everlasting Dance” a piece of joy and Jewish dance experience. The story of Exodus describes Miriam, Moses’ sister, who took a tambourine, leading the women of Israel in a dance of thanks to the Lord for splitting the Red Sea. Jewish dance is deeply embedded in our souls. “That my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever”, says King David (Psalms 30:12). Despite his awful suffering, King David knew that the secret to shedding the bitterness and sadness is the joy.

Educate the young generation to rejoice and dance

Jewish joy has always inspired the artist. But even more so, he was inspired by the manner in which the elders educate the young generation to rejoice and dance, nevermind the situation. In “Everlasting Dance,” the artist spreads the various Diasporas along a city street. Fires of destruction, European wooden shacks to stone homes. Between the skyscrapers of America to the gates of Jerusalem. Faith in the Lord, the innocent Jewish rejoicing in the right to be descendants of the Lord. The dance and joy experienced by fathers and sons underlie the success of the People of Israel throughout the generations.

Everlasting Dance…

Jews in all Diasporas used the secret of joy and dance. Despite their bitter situation, they were still sons of the Lord, and that could not be taken away – so let us dance. The Book of Isaiah (55:12) reads: “You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” And Rabbi Nachman of Breslov said, “It is a gat mitzvah to be constantly joyful.” Troubles can be shed through faith and joyfulness. The artist’s main message in this piece relates to Jewish faith and joyfulness. From our birth as a people and to the present day, dance and joyfulness are a clear sign of the eternity of Israel.
